The badge identifies instructors assigned to technical training schools or programs that provide education and training. To qualify for the badge, the individual's primary duty assignment must be as an instructor; to be an instructor, the individual must complete instructor training requirements which include a teaching practicum. Prior AETC instructors, assigned to other AETC training or education functions, may continue to wear a previously earned AETC Instructor/Master Instructor badge.
